Learn the basics and gain confidence about Jewish holidays and traditions.
When Hudi had a new baby, he learned that many new parents give a speech during a Jewish baby naming giving reason they choose the child’s name. He and his wife wanted a more DIY Baby Naming feel to the ceremony so they choose to sing. They chose a song close to them, to Gonzo the Muppet, and to anyone who’s ever experienced emotions: I’m Going to Go Back There Someday, from the Muppet Movie. The song became the emotional centerpiece of the ceremony and tears flowed all around.
This project was made possible with generous support from The Koret Foundation, as part of its Initiative on Jewish Peoplehood.
