Mariangela Mihai

Originally from Romania, Mariangela Mihai is a PhD student in Anthropology at Cornell University. She is a human rights activist and has worked with organizations such as The International Rescue Committee, United Way, and The Romanian Anti-Aids Organization (ARAS). At Cornell she started The ACT Collective, a student arts organization whose mission is to explore the intersection between creativity and social change through collaborative art projects.

In her spare time Mariangela writes and performs poetry and pursues photography in the hope that one day she will become an effortless storyteller at home with both words and light.
