BimBam sparks connections to Judaism through digital storytelling.
Liz Nord is a documentary filmmaker, producer and media educator who works at the intersection of video, the web, and traditional journalism. She is currently at the beginning of the process of making a new documentary, "Battle for Jerusalem," a film that highlights the attempts to revitalize Israel’s capital by a new wave of artists and activists, whose efforts have already initiated a burgeoning cultural renaissance within the city. Liz served as the Supervising Producer for MTV's Street Team '08, a groundbreaking collaboration with the Knight Foundation and the Associated Press, wherein 51 state-based citizen journalists covered the '08 presidential elections from a youth perspective, across all media platforms - web, mobile, broadcast, and virtual. In 2006, she toured the world with her critically acclaimed film about rebellious young Israelis, "Jericho's Echo: Punk Rock in the Holy Land." When she's not gallivanting around the globe with film projects, she is a media educator, lecturer, and columnist. She recently relocated to New York from the Bay Area, where she ran a media education organization that taught production skills to underserved youth, and where she served on the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Women in Film and TV. Before her move to media production, Liz graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University and was an award-winning graphic designer. She is a music and media junkie who enjoys learning, traveling, food adventures, and being part of the symphony that is New York City.
